The buildings were built using specially selected Latvian fir-trees. Most of them - 100+ years old. LIDO center represents a unique type of wooden building – guďbűve. It is the largest of its kind both in Latvia and in Europe. Currently there are “Alus pagrabs” (Beer Basement), Bistro hall and Swedish table located in the Center. The recreation center can host 1000 visitors with various tastes: from vegetarians, to lovers of fat sausages. “LIDO Recreation Center” is proud of its mini restaurant-type brewery – first in Latvia. It produces exclusively unfiltered beer. Also the center is proud of its sweetshop where people can buy fresh muffins, cakes and pies all day long. The visitors of LIDO are provided with wide range of opportunities to arrange large-scale banquets and festivities both in the Beer Basement and Bistro (2nd floor), as well as in a secluded house, or in any other place of their own choice. Children have a chance to have a Birthday party in a special “Jubilâra Namins” (House for the one who has birthday). Also they can have fun in the amusement park or in the “Kids Room” down at the Beer Basement. Every Saturday and Sunday children can attend “Kids Mornings” where they can learn dancing, drawing or just have fun together with their favorite fairy-tale heroes and Gnome girls. |
