This warm and friendly Riga hotel often surprises its guests with its unique design combining a modern style with elements of ancient Riga. You will notice some medieval Riga’s original brickwork both in the hotel lounge and in some of the guest rooms. Around the hotel you can enjoy numerous old photos of Riga reflecting the varied history of the city.

In the hotel there are 65 rooms, which are situated in two connected buildings. One part of the hotel offers 11 rooms – Economy and Old City Suite – with a spirit of history, romance and gives a quite atmosphere; and in the other part 54 rooms – Classic, Superior , Junior Suite, Suites – witch are well furnished and designed according to modern style.

The origins of the building at Teatra 10 date back to the 17th century when the successful merchant Johann Reitern built it as warehouse that quickly became known as the Elephant because of its volume and form.

The entrance to the warehouse was designed as a sculptural portal with a decorative relief depicting an elephant with palm trees, rosettes and acanthus leaves.
