St. George Church

The oldest building in Riga, survived from the Castle of the Sword Brotherhood Order, founded in 1202. St. George church St. George Church in Rigawas developed on the basis of a meeting place and later – a chapel.

It is the only Romanesque monument in Riga, you can find two small windows, very thick walls, round arches, massive vaulting.

Now the Museum of Decorative and Applied Arts is situated in this building.
