The most authentic part of the Museum exposition is Krišjānis Barons’ room. Here one can also see the famous Dainu skapis [cabinet of folk songs] (a copy) which he created, which stores late 19th century handwritten records of Latvian folk songs and was in 2001 included in the UNESCO programme’s “Memory of the World Register”.
